Started in July 2000,
Tameer-e-Millat News is a fifty page, monthly, bilingual magazine,
launched with the objective to “Educate Pakistan”. Considered as one
among the forerunner publications dedicated to education,
Tameer-e-Millat News helps not only create awareness among the main
stakeholders like children, teachers, and parents but also plays a role
of a watchdog for policy matters for the concerned quarters in public
sector and civil society. The magazine addresses serious issues in
education sector, illiteracy, poor monitoring and evaluation system, out
dated curriculum and privatization of education in Pakistan.
The Monthly also highlights the activities of Tameer-e-Millat schools
situated in remote areas of the country. A series of articles like,
Gosha-i-Urdu, Talimi Column, Mustaqbil, Un Kay Naam, Sehat Kahani, are
the main ingredients of magazine. Moreover, different segments of
magazines ranging from serious articles to selection form
autobiographies and material about the glorious past of Muslim
civilization are also being published. The monthly also shares with its
readers interviews of eminent and renowned literary personalities,
scholars and educationists in “Mulaqat” segment.
There is also variety of articles on various subjects like teaching,
teachers' training, parenting, education, child psychology, science,
poetry, information technology, to name a few. Dedicated segments are
also included for children and women. |
