The literacy rate of district Gujranwala is 53.67
percent. Consisting of mainly the poor community of
farmers, laborers and shopkeepers who could not
afford the education of their children, Bhoman Baath
is a village near Qila Didar Singh in Tehsil
Wazirabad.
• In 1993 when Ahsan Ullah Khan granted land of four
acres in his native village, Bhoman Baath for
establishment of Pir Muhammad TM Higher Secondary
School Bhoman Baath.
• TMF financed the construction of a large campus
that comprises of 17 rooms.
• The school has a science laboratory, library, and
a vast play ground.
• In 1994 the school started its first academic
session.
• This is the first school in the area to provide
educational opportunity to females.
• Bringing education at the community's door step to
change the state of female education in the area,
now the school is holding Secondary as well as
Higher Secondary classes for girls.
• Currently 329 students are enrolled; among them 50
percent are females.
• About 53 students have partial or full fee
waivers.
• Zafarullah Khan donated Muhammad Akram Khan TM
Model School. In 2007 the school started its
academic session with 52 students and 3 teachers.
• It has been planned to make it an educational
complex that will comprise of a mosque and one
school for boys and girls each. |
