In 1987 the first school in the chain of
Tameer-e-Millat Foundation Schools was established
in Khewra, Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan, District Jhelum.
Out of one million population, 60 percent are
literate.
• The success of Khewra School has become a
milestone in the educational journey that gave rise
to an organized effort of TMF.
• Covering an area of three acres, today's Khewra
School is providing education to girls and boys in
different campuses namely, TM Boys High School Khewra and TM Girls High School Khewra.
• Currently 272 boys and 381 girls, under the
supervision of 33 hardworking teachers are getting
education.
• It is a hub of basic educational facilities like
science and computer laboratories, library,
playgrounds and an Islamic centre.
• The first batch appeared in High School
Examination in 1991 and gained 100 percent result.
• Moreover, since 2001 the school has been providing
vocational training to females. Nearly 300 girls
have been passed out and presently about 28 are
getting training from the centre.
• Since 1992, Begum Safia Nawaz TM Model School
Lilla Town has been serving the community and
encouraging its students to show outstanding
academic grades.
• The school has 14 teachers who are adorning
children with education.
• At the moment 165 boys and 128 girls are acquiring
quality education from the institution. Out of which
111 are getting half or full fee waivers.
• Khawaja Shafiq Ahmed donated his house for
establishing Hafiz Maqbool Elahi TM Model School
Pind Dadan Khan was given after his late father's
name.
• There are 146 boys and 105 girls who are getting
education under the supervision of 86 teachers.
• The school is also providing computer education to
students as well.
• TM Model Girls High School Dharyala Jalip was
established in 1992 with Nursery and Prep classes in
a rented building.
• In 1999 six class rooms were constructed on 10
kanal land and classes from grade 6th to 12th were
shifted to new buildings.
• At present, 424 students are acquiring education.
• In 2006 the school started coaching classes for
girls of Intermediate level.
• Providing students with all the necessities of
education, the school has computer and science
laboratories as well as a library. |
