Out of 905,711 population of Khushab District, 60
percent are illiterate, among them 78 percent are
females. In the whole district 64.4 percent of 4-24
age group people could not attend any school where
in female it has further come down to 74.5 percent.
Mitha Tiwana is a village of District Khushab with
the literacy rate less than 30 percent.
• In association with Society for Human Empowerment
and Rural Development (SHER), TMF established
Colonel Muhammad Sher Memorial TM Model School Mitha
Tiwana.
• Over an area of 11 kanal, the school has computer
and science laboratories and vast playgrounds.
• Presently, 687 students are getting education from
this institute. Among them one third are getting
partial or full fee waivers.
