Twelfth largest district of Sindh Province, District Khairpur has population of 1.7 million of whom women make 45 percent. Only 53 percent of children attend primary school in the rural areas of this deprived region. Furthermore, as many as 52 percent of children, 10 year and older are illiterate. Lastly, while the average literacy rate for males in rural Khairpur is 65 percent, for females it is 25 percent.

• In 1996 Wazir Hussain Abbasi donated land of one kanal for construction of TM Model School Sobhodero.
• There are 75 boys and 95 girls enrolled in the school, out of which 25 are having half or full fee waivers.

• In 2006, Nirma TM School Hussainabad was established.
• There are 100 students acquiring education from six teachers up to Primary level.
Indus TM School Dawood Goth was established in 2006.
• The school is comprised of four class rooms and a playground.
• There are 97 girls and boys getting education from this institution.
