Famous for its pickles and sweets as well as a big market of cotton cloth and pottery District Shikarpur has 30 percent literacy rate.
• In 2005 Al-Mehran TM School Jannu Sharif was established. The school has three classrooms where four hardworking female teachers are teaching 65 students.
