The Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), a
region of some 27,220 km˛ bordering Afghanistan,
consists of seven (07) agencies. Tameer-e-Millat
Foundation has taken over the school in South
Waziristan Agency. Statistics shows that literacy
rate in FATA region is 17.42%, which is well below
from overall literacy rate of 56%. Only 3% of
females receive education whereas 29.51% males are
educated in this region. The estimated elementary
level literacy rate for males in the Tehsil Birmil
is 60% and 10-20% for females in the Tehsil Birmil.
Tameer-e-Millat Children Public School is yet
another endeavor of TMF which has been established
in Village Dana Raghzai, Tehsil Birmil of Wana,
South Waziristan Agency. This is first school of TMF
in FATA with the aim to establish more institutions
to provide equal opportunities in every region of
the country.
Mr. Hafeez ul Amin is the head of Tameer-e-Millat
Children Public School, WANA where 260 students are
getting education and 9 teachers are rendering their
services to educate these young children to bring
change in the region. The school is affiliated with

of 7 rooms and 5 rooms are under constructions for
high school education.
The school building and infrastructure facilities
are not enough but TMF aims to provide every
possible opportunity for education in this region.
We are looking forward to provide our newly started
school with all the modern means of education and
infrastructure. In near future we aim to build
computer lab and science labs equipped with the
modern instruments and equipments for higher
