
Maria Helena Tameer-e-Millat Foundation School was inaugurated on October 19, 2008 in Wajianwala, District Khanewal. A six acre piece of land was donated by the local philanthropist, Late Major (R) Ghulam Mustafa Shaheen for the school. His grand son, Mr. Naeem Ahmad Khan was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Principal TM Institute of Teachers’ Development, Qazi Manzoor Hussain and Monitoring Officer, Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem also attended the ceremony. In his address, Qazi Manzoor Hussain revealed before the audience the unhindered expansion of Tameer-e-Millat educational network that is on its move, benefiting the underprivileged and marginalized communities of the country.
The school is constructed over one acre land and the building is comprised of 16 rooms. In the first academic session, about 24 students have been enrolled and two teachers have been employed to the school. It has also been a part of the plan that the school will be expanded up to Secondary level in the coming years.
