Developing Basic Health Care Facility at Tameer-e-Millat City of Education


Introduction


GA mega educational complex, TM City of Education (TMCE) is situated in Ratwal in the outskirts ove Islamabad. Spread over 300 acers land area, Education City conglomerates TM School of Excellence for Boys and Girls, Tameer-e-Jannat Science School, TM Institute of Technology and Central Liberary. Along with residential facilities a Dairy Farm, Fish Farm, small Water Dams and vast Fruit Gardens and Timber Trees add more to the landscape of the Complex.


Getting the quality healthcare is the basic right of every individual. Realizing the need of healthcare facility, Tameer-e-Millat Foundation in collaboration with Shifa College of Nursing has launched Tameer-e-Millat School Health System (TMSHS) at TM City of Education (TMCE), Fatehjang, District Attock. Creating health and hygiene awareness among students, teachers and administrative staff would be the prime purpose of TMSHS. The healthcare center is centrally located in TM Model School whose students have been shifted to new school building. Staffed by a male School Health Nurse with BScN to in credit, the System has started initial work of screening of students and formulating committees that will be shouldering the future tasks. Offering services like regular medical checkup, nutrition and physical fitness advice, the School Health Nurse is also responsible for maintaining students' medical record.

Once developed, the healthcare facility will contain:

  • Air conditioned 4-bed ward
  • Examination room
  • Laboratory
  • Medical record room
  • Doctor's room
  • Nurse's room
  • Dispensary
